80 SAAP Footballers Arrive in Jamshedpur for Exposure Visit Organised by Tata Steel Sports Department and Jamshedpur FC
Jamshedpur, June 22: A contingent of 80 young footballers from the Sports Authority of Andhra Pradesh (SAAP), comprising 40 boys and 40 girls from the U-15 and U-21 age groups, has arrived in Jamshedpur for a special football exposure visit organised by Tata Steel in coordination with Jamshedpur FC.
The week-long programme aims to provide the young players with an opportunity to experience a professional football environment, interact with qualified coaches, and gain valuable insights into modern training methodologies. The visiting contingent is accompanied by coaches and support staff of SAAP.
Jamshedpur FC CEO Mukul Choudhari and General Manager Prashant Godbole greeted the visiting contingent on Monday.
As part of the programme, the players will participate in structured football training sessions, observe professional sporting infrastructure, and learn about athlete development pathways followed by Tata Steel Sports Department and Jamshedpur FC. The initiative has been designed to promote fitness, discipline, teamwork and holistic development among the participants.
The visiting players will also get an opportunity to tour key facilities including the JRD Tata Sports Complex and the Tata Steel Sports Science Centre, gaining first-hand exposure to world-class sports infrastructure.
The exchange programme reflects Tata Steel's continued commitment to nurturing young sporting talent and fostering collaboration between institutions working towards the development of football in India. Through such initiatives, aspiring footballers are provided with meaningful learning experiences that contribute to their growth both on and off the field.
The SAAP contingent is expected to participate in a series of football activities and educational sessions during their stay before returning to Andhra Pradesh later this week.
