Anas Edathodika welcomed by the team with open arms
Anas Edathodika, the very first signed Indian player of Jamshedpur FC, successfully made his transfer to the club as he makes his comeback to the club and the league in the upcoming season. Anas was part of the debut season squad and almost got the team through to the play-offs, but unfortunately saw them positioned in the 5th position on the final day of the qualification.
The Keralite has come back to be a part of the team now and has stated that he is here to fulfill the dream of winning the ISL trophy and achieve the success he promised to achieve to the fans in his first season at Jamshedpur FC.
"I had a good experience in my previous season here where I felt the unconditional love of the fans. I look forward to the new season and want to achieve success for the fans. I wish to complete my unfulfilled dream with the club by helping us win the ISL trophy. We missed out narrowly the last time I was here and want to make amends," said Anas on his first season at Jamshedpur FC and his views building up to the upcoming season.
The latest addition to the club was very well received by the fans as they left no stones unturned to welcome the former national centre-back to their beloved club. But this love and support was not just put forth by the fans, but also by the Men of Steel themselves. Players from the club were delighted to hear that they will be joined by a player of Anas’ experience and skill.
The Superman between the sticks, TP Rehenesh, who recently extended his contract with Jamshedpur FC was one of the first to react to the signing news. Rehenesh who has previously shared the pitch with Anas in the Indian National team, shared his excitement as he commented with “Anaska” (means Brother Anas Elder Brother), thus showing how much he is looking forward to getting back on the pitch with this colleague from Kerala.
Farukh too was quick to reach out to welcome Anas to the club, who has also played alongside the Keralite back in the debut season of Jamshedpur FC. “Welcome back Habibi” was the comment that Farukh used to welcome back his former and future teammate.
Fan’s all-time favorite Memo Moura too was also one of the players who offered his best wishes to the defender, leaving a comment “All the best, Batore”. Memo and Anas have been together in the same team at Jamshedpur FC in the 2017-18 debut season.
Apart from the mentioned players, all the other players are also thrilled to have Anas Edathodika on board at Jamshedpur FC and are eagerly looking forward to starting training ahead of the upcoming season of the ISL.
