Dalma Tiger FC beat Thakkar Bapa Club 3-1 to win JSA League Super Division at JRD Tata Sports Complex

It was a day of joy for Dalma Tiger FC as they scored three goals and cruised to the finish line against Thakkar Bapa Club, winning 3-1 and lifting the JSA League Super Division trophy.

Dalma had the quality and passion from the get-go, attacking the opposition and creating chances before finally breaking the deadlock in the 22nd minute when Rajesh Murmu found the back of the net for his team.

This lead was cut short however, as TBC fought back and equalised just before the half time break as Aman Hembram scored for his team in the 42nd minute and brought Thakkar Bapa back into the match.

In the second half, Dalma Tiger regained the advantage as they scored ten minutes into the restart thanks to a strike from Sachin Singh Sardar in the 55th minute, and despite TBC efforts to get back into the match, they were pegged back right at the end.

In the 85th minute, Rabinder Manjhi scored the third goal for Dalma Tiger FC and ensured the Super Division trophy was coming to them after an intense couple of months of footballing action.

The event was a landmark one as it was officiated expertly by a female referee in Ms. Rani Ravi Das. Mr. Hemant Gupta (Head Adventure Project & Sports) & (Vice President, JSA) graced the final as Chief Guest while Mr. Anand Menezes (Senior Manager TFA & Sports) & (Secretary, JSA) graced the Event as a Guest of Honour.

Saroj Mardi was awarded the Ramesh Mehata Award for Best Goalkeeper of the League by Mr. Anand Menezes while Krishna Bodra was awarded the P Vijay Kumar Award for Top Goal Scorer of the League by Mr. Navin J Sundi (H.O.R - Jharkhand Football Association). The S. Zubair Alam Award for Fair Play was awarded to Gram Vikash Kendra by Mr. Victor Somaya (Chairman - Players Selection Committee).

The A Division final will be played on 11 August between Adivasi Development and Welfare Association and New Boys Club at 3 PM at Tinplate Sports Complex while the Premier Division final between Jamshedpur FC Reserves and Tata Steel will be played on 12 August at JRD Tata Sports Complex with kickoff scheduled for 5 PM.

The Premier Division final on Saturday, 12 August will be graced by the presence of the Jamshedpur FC senior team squad led by Head Coach Scott Cooper, while participants of Jamshedpur FC’s Football Schools program from various schools across Jamshedpur will also be present to cheer the two teams on at JRD Tata Sports Complex.
