Durand Cup Organising Committee announces Free Entry for Durand Cup at Jamshedpur

Jamshedpur, July 22: The Durand Cup Organising Committee (DCOC) of the 134th IndianOil Durand Cup has officially announced free public entry for all matches to be held in Jamshedpur, beginning with a full-capacity opening match at the JRD Tata Sports Complex. All 22,500 seats are being made available through complimentary passes, ensuring an inclusive and festive start to Asia’s oldest football tournament. The initiative reflects the city’s passion for the game and the organisers’ commitment to celebrating football with the people.

Free ticket distribution for the first match will be conducted at the stadium box office on July 23rd and 24th, strictly on a first-come, first-served basis, until stocks last. To ensure fair distribution, a maximum of four tickets per person will be issued.

In a gesture of community outreach, complimentary tickets have also been earmarked for local schools and all 41 teams of the JSA League, reinforcing the Durand Cup’s commitment on grassroots football and youth engagement.

From the second match onwards, the tournament will adopt an open gate policy; there will be no ticket requirement for entry. Spectators can walk in freely through Gates 4, 5, 6, and 7, encouraging continued local participation and creating a festive football atmosphere throughout the tournament with the people of Jamshedpur. This move is aimed at celebrating the spirit of the beautiful game.
