“Feels great to have the pre-season in India” – Mobashir Rahman

Young-gun Mobashir Rahman talks about pre-season, team bonding and Head Coach Antonio Iriondo.

Local Jamshedpur boy and TFA graduate Mobashir Rahman rose up the ranks as he was selected into the Jamshedpur FC first team in the previous season. The youngster compared the experience of having the pre-season in India instead of aborad in a quick conversation with the media. Here’s what he had to say:

On the preparations for the upcoming season…

We are having a good pre-season together. It’s been exactly a month now with a lot of training sessions and a few pre-season games under our belt. I think it was good to have the pre-season in India as we acclimatize better to the climate and weather by training here.

On the bonding of the players…

We are bonding and gelling well together. Right from the beginning, the coach has encouraged some very unique ways of bringing the team together. He took us for a water adventure camp in Dimna Lake, something I have also done as a TFA cadet. And we have also been engaged in yoga sessions where we have a lot of fun.

On Antonio Iriondo…

He’s one of the best I have played under. His objective and vision is clear and he knows exactly what he wants from his team – to play total football and keep ball possession. I am glad to be training under someone so experienced.
