Jamshedpur FC

Our first match in our second Indian Super League season panned out to be a successful one with our heroes, Mario Arques and Pablo Morgado scoring the deciders and bagging all three points against Mumbai City FC with flying colours.

The club Chairman, Sunil Bhaskaran was certainly happy and delighted to see our players ruling the field. He shared his thoughts over our first away win of the season and the importance of the Fan Park initiative. Following are the points he made…

On our first away win of the season…

It’s outstanding to win the first away game in Mumbai. We had a lot of Jamshedpur FC fans supporting us, which was great to see. The coach had promised us that Jamshedpur FC will play a different game this year, and that’s exactly what we saw here, today.

Our Ball Controlling, Passing and Possession of the ball were all outstanding. The team is in the strong hands and is coming together well.

We need to take it one game at a time, but it’s a great start. I could see the excitement in the Fan Park in Jamshedpur. I’m sure this result will make fans rush to The Furnace for our first home game.

On JFC Fan Park…

It’s a great initiative. Last season, unfortunately, we couldn’t make our fans connect to their team, when the team was playing away games. So, it’s a great way to get our fans together to support the team.

It was very delightful to see a Jamshedpur boy, Mobashir feature in the game. He was fantastic and his presence on the pitch was superb.

I’m also looking forward to seeing Gourav Mukhi play for us in the upcoming Home as well as Away games.

Jamshedpur FC’s next game is against Bengaluru FC at the Sree Kanteerava Stadium on October 7.
