Jamshedpur FC Announce 25-Member Squad for Kalinga Super Cup; Team to Depart for Bhubaneswar on April 22

Jamshedpur, April 22: Jamshedpur FC have named a strong 25-member squad for the upcoming Kalinga Super Cup as the team sets sights on finishing the season on a high. The squad, led by Head Coach Khalid Ahmed Jamil, will travel to Bhubaneswar on April 22 to begin preparations for their Round of 16 knockout clash against Hyderabad FC.

The team conducted its final training session at Flatlet Ground earlier today before departure, wrapping up preparations for what promises to be another intense phase of the season.

The 2024-25 ISL season saw Jamshedpur FC surprise many with their fighting spirit and resurgence under Khalid Jamil. After a mixed start to the campaign, the team picked up momentum in the latter half of the season and reached the ISL Playoffs, pushing eventual finalists Mohun Bagan SG to the very end in a tightly contested semi-final. Jamil’s leadership has been instrumental in the team’s transformation, instilling belief and tactical discipline that earned praise across the league.

Speaking ahead of the Super Cup, Head Coach Khalid Jamil said, “This tournament is another big opportunity for us. The players have worked very hard this season, and we want to carry that momentum into the Super Cup. We have selected a balanced squad, and we are confident in the abilities of every player.”

The squad includes key performers from the ISL campaign such as Javi Hernandez, Albino Gomes, Jordan Murray, Ritwik Das, and Stephen Eze, as well as exciting young talents like Sanan, Samir Murmu, and Nikhil Barla. The team consists of four Jharkhand players also.
