Jamshedpur FC Begin Durand Cup Preparations Under Kaizad Ambapardiwala

Jamshedpur, July 13: Jamshedpur FC have begun preparations for the 135th Durand Cup under the guidance of Head Coach Kaizad Ambapardiwala, with the squad assembling at Flatelet ahead of the prestigious tournament.

The first batch of senior Indian players to report includes Mohammed Sanan K, Rosenberg Gilbert Gabriel, Albino Gomes, Sreekuttan V.S., Praful Kumar Y.V., Nikhil Barla, Amrit Gope, Pronay Halder, Lalhriatpuia Chawngthu and Sourav Das.

The squad has commenced training as the Men of Steel gear up for the Durand Cup, where they will field a blend of experienced senior Indian players and promising youngsters from the club's youth development system. The tournament will serve as an important platform for emerging talent to gain valuable first-team experience while helping the club build momentum ahead of the upcoming Indian Super League season under Head Coach Owen Coyle.

Speaking about the preparations, Kaizad Ambapardiwala said, "The players have returned with a great attitude and are eager to get to work. The Durand Cup is an excellent opportunity for us to build match fitness, strengthen our playing style and give our young players the chance to compete alongside experienced professionals. Jamshedpur FC have been drawn in Group C of the 135th Durand Cup alongside Defenders FC of Sri Lanka, Sporting Club Delhi and Indian Air Force Football Team. The Men of Steel will begin their campaign against Defenders FC on July 26 at the Birsa Munda Football Stadium in Ranchi before taking on Sporting Club Delhi on August 4 and Indian Air Force Football Team on August 13.
