Jamshedpur FC bow out of the Hero Super Cup with a 4 - 3 loss at the hands of FC Goa

Jamshedpur FC fell to a 4 - 3 defeat at the hands of FC Goa in the Hero Super Cup quarter-final. Despite goalscoring efforts from Pablo Morgado, Sergio Cidoncha and Carlos Calvo, the men from Jamshedpur could not get the better of Gaurs.

Cesar Ferrando's starting line-up in the game had Pratik Chaudhari partnering Tiri in defence with Rafique Ali between the sticks. Farukh started up front with Morgado and Jerry on the flanks.

FC Goa scored two identical goals in the first half, courtesy of two set-pieces. A swerving delivery from the left was first headed in by Edu Bedia and then an unfortunate own goal from Morgado gave Goa a 2 - 0 lead going in to the break.

Seriton Fernandes then made it three for Goa with a well-worked move. The man who scored at the wrong end in the first half then reduced the deficit for Jamshedpur FC with a well-timed run in the box. Coro then made it 4 - 1 for FC Goa from the spot after Pratik was penalized for a handball inside the box.

Despite going three goals behind, fight was still remaining in Jamshedpur FC. Goals from Cidoncha - a thumping header and from Calvo - a sweet hit from the spot meant Jamshedpur were still in it.
