Jamshedpur FC look to bounce back against East Bengal FC

Jamshedpur FC is all set to take on East Bengal FC in their fourth home match of the Hero Indian Super League 2022-23 season this Sunday at the JRD Tata Sports Complex.

Since the only win of the season against NorthEast United at home, the club has been going through a rough patch. In the last couple of weeks, the HISL defending shield winners suffered huge blows due to injury concerns of key players.

After a tough loss against Chennaiyin in the last match, Aidy Boothroyd’s side will eye a comeback when they take on the Red and Golds.

“We expect a very organized and strong counter-attacking East Bengal side tomorrow. We are well prepared to face them. We just need to avoid the unforced errors.”, the gaffer opined ahead of the next fixture at the furnace.

The gaffer hinted that a couple of youngsters are expected to make their way into the starting eleven, “We have got a number of young players. There is a possibility that we may make some of them start tomorrow.”

The Men of Steel will continue to miss Wellington Priori, Eli Sabia and Dinpuia due to injury.

Previously, the two sides have faced each other four times on the Hero ISL stage. Both have secured a win and shared the points with each other in the other two games. Currently, Jamshedpur FC and East Bengal FC are placed 8th and 9th in the league table respectively.

East Bengal, on the other hand, enter this game after a huge loss against Odisha. The Red and Golds were 2-4 down at home in their last game. The Kolkata giants will also be looking to find winning form when they face Jamshedpur FC tomorrow. Thus, the Sunday night fixture promises to be an exciting clash as both sides will go all out to take home all the points.
