Jamshedpur FC

The Jamshedpur FC Reserve Team played their first match of the JSA League Premier Division at JRD Tata Sports Complex and were held to a 1-1 draw by a resolute Jharkhand Sporting Club side.

Jharkhand SC went down to nine men in the first half of the match, but stood firm and denied too many goal scoring opportunities to their opponents, eventually leaving with a draw.

Jharkhand SC took the lead in this one thanks to a goal from Suraj Soren in the 30th minute following a mix up at the back, but Jamshedpur FC were looking the most dangerous during the first half.

Sakla Mardi was sent off in the 24th minute for denying a clear goalscoring opportunity, while Lubin Murmu was also given his marching orders in first half stoppage time for a handball on the goal line, leading to a penalty.

The spot kick was converted by Rosangzuala for Jamshedpur FC, but the young Men of Steel were unable to make their numerical advantage count and could only get a point from their opening JSA League match.

Elsewhere, Babulal Soren Football Academy picked up a comfortable 3-0 win in their Premier Division match against Jamshedpur Boys Club, while Adivasi Ritu Gonda Club bagged all three points against Marshal Club at Tinplate Sports Complex in an A Division (Group A) contest.

In A Division (Group B) action, Yuvak Jagrat Association fell to a 3-0 defeat against Jamshedpur Football Academy, while Singhbhum Soccer Fans Club won 4-1 against Shishu Dome Com Club at Gopal Maidan in Super Division action.
