Jamshedpur FC Reserves Suffer Narrow 2-1 Defeat to Classic FA in RFDL Zonal Round

Shillong, February 6: Jamshedpur FC Reserves endured a heartbreaking 2-1 loss to Classic FA in their second match of the Reliance Foundation Development League (RFDL) Zonal Round at Wahiajer Stadium. Despite dominating large spells of the game and creating multiple scoring opportunities, an unfortunate own goal in the final minutes denied them a crucial result.

Classic FA struck early, opening the scoring in the sixth minute. Jamshedpur FC took some time to settle but gradually found their rhythm, pushing forward with intent. Their persistence paid off in the 13th minute when Rohan equalized. A well-worked move between Bivan and Rashithoi led to a shot from Zuala, which rebounded off the keeper, allowing Rohan to calmly slot home the equalizer.

From then on, Jamshedpur FC dictated proceedings, constantly pressing for a second goal. Remson, Zuala, Amzard, and Alvin all had promising chances but were unable to convert. Classic FA, under sustained pressure, held firm and made the most of a late opportunity. In the 83rd minute, an unfortunate moment saw Ronaldo’s clearance header off a Classic FA free-kick end up in his own net, handing the opposition a decisive lead.
