Jamshedpur FC Set for Crucial Clash Against Hyderabad FC After 15-Day Break

Jamshedpur, October 20: Jamshedpur FC will be back in action in the Indian Super League after a 15-day break as they face Hyderabad FC at the JRD Tata Sports Complex on Monday at 7:30 PM.

The Men of Steel are currently in third place in the league table with nine points from three matches, while Hyderabad FC has only one point from three matches. However, Jamshedpur FC coach Khalid Jamil believes it will be a tough battle as the visitors have strengthened their squad during the break.

“In fact, they’re stronger now compared to before. They’ve added quality foreign players, and they will be tough opponents for us. They’re a solid team, and we need to be ready for the challenge. Our goal is to get a positive result,” said Khalid Jamil.

"The break was good for everyone. It gave the players time to recover. Some of them who weren’t fit are back to full fitness now, so we’re ready for the game," he added.

Jamshedpur FC’s foreign players have delivered top-notch performances so far. Forward Jordan Murray, midfielder Javi Hernandez, and defender Stephen Eze have all shone for the team. Japanese midfielder Rei Tachikawa is also in good form, scoring a fantastic goal against East Bengal in the last match. Though he was taken off due to injury in the first half of that game, Khalid Jamil has confirmed that he is fit for selection against Hyderabad FC.

With almost 17,000 tickets sold so far, there will be an electric atmosphere at the Furnace. “We are thankful to the fans for coming in numbers to support us. We request them to continue their support and show that this club has the best fans in the country. Their support has helped us perform better on the pitch,” said Khalid Jamil.

The match is also notable as both head coaches are Indian, a rare sight in the Indian Super League. “I know Khalid Jamil very well, and he has set a high standard for Indian coaches,” said Hyderabad FC head coach Thangboi Singto.

The match will be broadcast live on the OTT platform JioCinema and on Sports 18 TV channels
