Jamshedpur FC U-18 Look to Build Momentum at Home Against AIFF Academy
Jamshedpur, December 19: Jamshedpur FC U-18 return to home soil on Saturday morning as they face AIFF FIFA Talent Academy at the Flatelet Ground, with kick-off scheduled for 9 am in the AIFF Elite Youth League. After earning a gritty away draw against Inter Kashi in Varanasi, the young Men of Steel will be keen to turn home advantage into three points.
JFC began their campaign with an emphatic 5–0 win over SAIL Football Academy Bokaro before showing character in their previous outing, where a last-minute header from Heeranganba Seram secured a 2–2 draw in their first away match of the season. The result highlighted the squad’s resilience and growing maturity under head coach Kaizad Ambapardiwalla.
Saturday’s opponents, AIFF FIFA Talent Academy, will arrive in Jamshedpur looking to bounce back after suffering a defeat in their opening fixture against Football Academy Odisha. Despite the setback, the Academy side is known for its technical quality and structured approach, making them a challenging proposition.
Head coach Kaizad stressed the importance of focus and consistency ahead of the fixture. “Playing at home gives us an advantage, but we can’t take anything for granted. AIFF Academy are a well-drilled side, and they will come here with a point to prove,” he said. “Our focus is on maintaining intensity and being clinical in the final third.”
With confidence from their recent performances and the backing of familiar surroundings, Jamshedpur FC U-18 will aim to put together a strong display as they continue their Elite Youth League campaign at Flatelet.
