Jamshedpur FC U15 Gears Up for AIFF Junior League Challenge
Jamshedpur, May 13: Jamshedpur FC’s U15 team is all set to compete in the final round of the AIFF Junior League 2024-25, as they prepare to take on some of the top youth sides in the country.
With the play-off round completed on May 13, the final round group stage will kick off on May 16. In the play-off round matches held at JRD Tata Sports Complex and Flatelets, East Bengal FC, Mumbai City FC, Punjab FC and FC Madras qualified to the group stages.
Jamshedpur FC is placed in Group C alongside Minerva Academy FC, Punjab FC, and Football 4 Change Academy. Jamshedpur FC finished as table toppers and secured direct qualification to the final round of the tournament. Jamshedpur FC U15 completed the group stage with a perfect record, three wins from three matches, scoring 16 goals and conceding just two.
The young Red Miners will begin their campaign on May 17 against Football 4 Change Academy at the JRD Tata Sports Complex at 4 PM. They will then face Minerva Academy on May 19, followed by their final group game against Punjab FC on May 21.
All three matches are expected to test the mettle of the squad, which has been in intense preparation over the past month under the guidance of head coach Shakti Singh.
The group stage will see 12 teams vying for the knockout phase of the tournament with quarterfinal starting on May 22 and the final on May 28.
