Jamshedpur U15s beat Reliance Foundation Youth Champs 4-2 at JSW Youth Cup

Jamshedpur U15s recorded their first win at the JSW Youth Cup as they came out on top over Reliance Foundation Young Champs 4-2 at the JSW Vidyanagar Football Ground in Bellary, Karnataka.

Reliance took the lead in this game, scoring in the 21st minute via a sweet effort from Mohammed Sakib Shaikh, but Jamshedpur roared back immediately, with Leimapokpam Ayangsana Meitei equalising for his side in the 25th minute.

It was a much needed goal for the boys of steel, who continued the pressure and got their reward in the form of a second goal when Lawmsangzuala scored from the penalty spot at the stroke of halftime.

Bengaluru FC captain Mohammed Sakib Shaikh was looking like the most inspired man in his side during the game, and he single-handedly brought his team level with a 57th minute finish to make it 2-2 and pile on the pressure.

Thankfully, the young guns continued to fight and Thingbaijam Sachin Singh made it 3-2 in the 69th minute to hand his team the advantage. The win was complete when Rayan C struck home in the 72nd minute to make it 4-2 to Jamshedpur FC and wrap up the points.

This was the first victory for the U15s in the tournament and takes their tally to 4 points from three matches and level on points with Bengaluru FC and RoundGlass Punjab, with the latter in action later today against Sreenidi Deccan.
