Jamshedpur U15s go down 3-2 to Bengaluru FC in JSW Youth Cup

Jamshedpur U15s were beaten 3-2 by Bengaluru FC U15s at the JSW Youth Cup at the JSW Vidyanagar Football Ground in Bellary, Karnataka today.

Jamshedpur FC took the lead in this match thanks to an early goal from Lawnsangzuala in the 14th minute of the game but were pegged back soon after as Muhammed Zahan equalised for Bengaluru in the 37th minute.

The game was end-to-end and the boys of Steel soon took the lead back thanks to a 40th-minute strike from Shagolsem Meetei, which gave the team a 2-1 lead heading into half-time.

Back with renewed spirit, the second half brought more action for the neutral to enjoy as Puinachandra Kangjam made it 2-2 and brought Bengaluru FC back into the game.

Both sides exchanged blows as the game went on, but the turning point arrived in the 87th minute as young Mayanglamban Ronaldo Singh was sent off for Jamshedpur with the game locked in a draw.

The extra man paid off immediately for the Blues, who earned a penalty with the foul and completed the turnaround as Newton Ningthoujam converted for BFC.

Despite defeat today, the Jamshedpur U13s will have an opportunity to take some revenge against Bengaluru FC as they battle tomorrow, April 17 at the JSW Vidyanagar Football Ground.
