Jamshedpur, March 23: Jamshedpur FC winger Mohammed Sanan has been named in the India U23 men’s squad for the upcoming Tri-Nation Friendlies to be held in Yupia, Arunachal Pradesh, during the March FIFA International Match Window.

The 24-member squad, announced by head coach Naushad Moosa on Sunday, will see India U23 take on Bhutan on March 28 and Tajikistan on March 31 at the Golden Jubilee Stadium.

Sanan’s selection comes as recognition of his strong performances in the Indian Super League for Jamshedpur FC, with the young attacker continuing to impress with his pace, and attacking intent.

Sanan has already enjoyed a promising run with the India U23 side in November. He featured in the AFC U23 Qualifiers in Doha, where he impressed despite India narrowly missing out, and also appeared in the international friendlies against Iraq. His steady rise was further underlined by a call-up to the senior national team.

Speaking on his latest call-up, Mohammed Sanan said:
