JFC Under-16 Fight Back to Hold Infocus Sports Academy 2–2
Jamshedpur, January 30: Jamshedpur FC Under-16 showed strong character and resilience as they fought back to secure a 2–2 draw against Infocus Sports Academy in their Junior League 2025–26 Group ‘G’ opener in West Bengal.
JFC Under-16 made a positive start and were rewarded just before the break when Marshal Hembram found the net in first-half injury time (45+1), giving the visitors an early advantage heading into halftime.
Infocus Sports Academy responded strongly after the restart, scoring twice in quick succession in the 52nd and 65th minutes to turn the match in their favour.
Despite conceding, the Jamshedpur boys continued to push for an equaliser, creating pressure in the final third and testing the Infocus defence with repeated attacking moves. Their persistence eventually paid off deep into injury time, as sustained pressure forced an own goal from the opposition in the 95th minute, with Parvej Ali credited with the decisive touch.
