Messi Bouli Eager to Lead from the Front as Jamshedpur FC Step Up Super Cup Preparations
Jamshedpur, October 15: Cameroonian striker Raphaël Messi Bouli has expressed his excitement at returning to India and joining Jamshedpur FC, as the Men of Steel continue their preparations for the upcoming Super Cup under Head Coach Steven Dias.
The experienced forward, who previously lit up the Indian Super League with Kerala Blasters, said he was thrilled to be back in a country where he had fond memories. “It feels really good to be here again in such a football-loving country,” said Messi Bouli. “I’m happy to return after a long wait, and my focus is on getting ready for the Super Cup and the ISL. I can’t wait to get started.”
Known for his aerial presence, and goal-scoring instincts, Bouli emphasized the importance of settling in quickly with his new teammates. “I’ve scored many goals wherever I’ve played, but for me, the most important thing here is to adapt. Especially here to my new home, teammates, and coach,” he said. “With God’s grace, the goals will come. Experience and the support of my teammates will make all the difference.”
The 33-year-old striker also spoke about his role and mindset at Jamshedpur FC, where his leadership and experience are expected to guide a youthful squad. “My job is to help the team achieve its goals this season to win trophies, defend my teammates on the pitch, and maintain the right attitude both on and off it,” he noted. “I also want to help the young players improve. These are all part of the path to success.”
Having joined the training camp last week, Bouli praised the professionalism and energy within the Jamshedpur camp. “The atmosphere is very good. The guys are working hard with real professionalism,” he said. “The coach wants us to play good, attacking football, which is great for everyone. We’ll implement his style and succeed together.”
The striker ended with a heartfelt message for the Jamshedpur faithful. “We need our fans to push us, especially at home. Together we’re stronger, and success will come with patience, determination, and resilience,” he said. “I’m sure we’ll have a great season together. Jam ke Khelo, Jamshedpur!”
With Bouli’s arrival, Jamshedpur FC’s preparations for the Super Cup have gained an extra boost as the team continues to build momentum ahead of their Group B opener against FC Goa on October 26.
