Pratik Choudhari Praises Team Spirit of Jamshedpur FC in Super Cup

Jamshedpur, November 6: Jamshedpur FC defender Pratik Chaudhari believes the team’s strong unity and defensive discipline were key takeaways from their Super Cup campaign, which ended with a convincing win over Inter Kashi in Bambolim, Goa.

Pratik said the group showed steady improvement with each game despite the challenging conditions early on. “The first two games were tough, especially with the rain affecting conditions, but the way we finished against Inter Kashi showed how much we’ve grown as a team. We stayed compact, worked hard, and ended the campaign on a positive note,” he said.

The experienced centre-back highlighted how defensive communication and coordination have strengthened under the new setup. “Defensively, I think we’ve improved with every match. Communication has been key and everyone knew their role, and there’s more understanding now between the backline and midfield. A clean sheet in the last game was a big confidence boost for the entire unit,” Pratik added.

Pratik also credited Head Coach Steven Dias for instilling belief and composure within the squad. “Working with Steven coach has been great. He keeps things positive, motivates the players, and focuses a lot on discipline and togetherness. He wants us to play fearless football but also stay organised, which suits the players we have,” he said.

For the veteran defender, one of the biggest positives has been the growing bond within the team. “The main difference is belief. Even when we were 2–0 down against NorthEast, nobody gave up. That fighting spirit reflects how close the group has become. Everyone wants to give their best for each other and for the badge,” he stated
