“We want the supporters to come out in numbers and support us” – Sumeet Passi

Jamshedpur FC will host Bengaluru FC in their penultimate league game at their home away from home – Kalinga Stadium in Bhubaneswar on February 25, Sunday. As the lads already reached Bhubaneswar on February 19, Sumeet Passi reflected on a few things during the first training session. Here’s what he had to say:

On starting for Jamshedpur FC for the first time

I felt really good. It was a wonderful feeling to have started a game for Jamshedpur FC finally. I have worked hard, and my coach has supported me throughout.

On the forthcoming game against Bengaluru FC

It is a crucial game for us. Needless to say, we have to win this game anyhow to stay in the top-four race. We need those three points against Bengaluru FC.

On playing at the Kalinga Stadium for the first time in the season

Crowd support has always been an important aspect in sports. As we have seen the kind of support we received throughout the season in Jamshedpur, it cannot get more emphatic than that. Thus, we would want the supporters to come in numbers and cheer for us when we will take on Bengaluru FC on Sunday.

On areas to improve

It is just we do not want to concede, and we would want to score against Bengaluru FC. That’s probably the only area we need to focus on.

On Bengaluru FC

They are the best team in the league currently. Thus, they are at the top of the table. But, we have defeated them once and we would like to complete the double over them. The only agenda is to win and hold on to our position in the top four of the points table.
