Patna, December 28: Jamshedpur FC U-18 registered an impressive 3–0 away victory over Alpha Sports Academy at Balua, Patna, continuing their strong run in the AIFF Elite League on Sunday.

Goals from Gopal Munda, Lawmsangzuala and substitute Alvin ensured a comfortable win for the young Men of Steel, who controlled proceedings for large parts of the contest and made their dominance count with clinical finishing.

Jamshedpur started on the front foot and could have taken an early lead in the 11th minute. Rashithoi intercepted possession in midfield and released Heeranganba Seram with a perfectly weighted through ball down the right. With only the goalkeeper to beat, Seram fired over the crossbar, letting Alpha off the hook.

The visitors maintained pressure through sustained possession and set-piece threats, and the breakthrough finally arrived in the 25th minute. From a Lawmsangzuala corner, Gopal Munda reacted sharply at the near post to guide the ball inside the first post, giving Jamshedpur a deserved lead.

Just two minutes later, Jamshedpur came close to doubling the advantage from another corner. Seram attempted a clever flick towards the far post, but the Alpha goalkeeper produced a timely save to keep his side in the contest.

Alpha tried to push forward in search of an equaliser in the second half, but Jamshedpur remained organised at the back and patient in attack. The second goal came in the 75th minute when Sachin split the defence with a well-timed pass, allowing Lawmsangzuala to finish calmly and extend the lead.

The visitors sealed the result late in the match. In the 89th minute, Soumik’s corner caused chaos in the box, and substitute Alvin’s effort took a deflection off an Alpha defender before finding the back of the net, making it 3–0.

With this win, Jamshedpur FC U-18 continue to build momentum in the league. Their next assignment will be against FAO Academy on January 10 in Bhubaneswar, as the U-18 side will shift focus to the Reliance Foundation Development League regional group stage matches to be played in Jamshedpur this week.
