Jamshedpur, September 9: Jamshedpur Football Club’s academy players Rayan, Indraj, and Karthikeyan, who hail from Kerala, joined the Onam celebrations organised by Kerala Samajam at Jamshedpur on Sunday.

The players experienced the festive spirit of their home state by taking photographs in front of the traditional flower carpet and posing with Maveli, the symbolic figure of Onam. They also witnessed traditional art forms and enjoyed the grand Onam Sadhya, which brought back fond memories of celebrations in Kerala.

For the young players, it was a moment of warmth and belonging, making them feel at home while being away. The authentic flavours of the Onam Sadhya delighted them, especially as they had been away from Kerala cuisine for a long time.

This celebration not only connected them with their roots but also reflected the cultural diversity and inclusivity that Jamshedpur embraces.
