#JFCHFC Opponent Watch: It will be a tough play against Hyderabad

The Jamshedpur squad registered their first victory of the 2021-22 season after a dominating win in their second match, against FC Goa . After moving up in the league table with their winning points, the team will now aim to keep the same momentum when they face their next opponent, Hyderabad FC, in the first home game of the season.

As the squad will be looking to aim for another victory tomorrow, here are some of the members of Hyderabad FC who would be a lurking threat on the pitch:

Laxmikant Kattimani

Kattimani was one of the goalkeepers who was at the top of his game last season, saving Hyderabad from conceding on several occasions. The veteran goalkeeper was a key member of FC Goa's road to the Hero ISL final in 2015, when he almost became the hero after saving two penalties against Chennaiyin FC. Laxmikant joined Hyderabad FC prior to the 2019-20 season and has been a key member of the club's defence line ever since. To overcome this goalkeeper, Jamshedpur's offensive line-up will have to come up with swift and innovative counter-attacking strategies to score past him.

Akash Mishra

Akash spent three years training in Germany and returned to India quickly to make it to the India U-18 team. Akash joined Hyderabad FC ahead of the 2020-21 season and established himself as one of the finest players in the position, playing every minute for his club. He made his national team debut against Oman in Dubai later that year and has been a regular part of the Indian team ever since. With his quick pace, interception ability and perfectly timed tackles, the young Indian national will be a tough man for the Jamshedpur squad to pass through and score goals from open play.

Joao Victor

RCD Mallorca, a La Liga team, signed Joao and he led them to achieve an eighth-place finish in the 2011-12 season of the La Liga. After spending a few years in Middle Eastern clubs, he returned to Europe's top division, joining the Greek team, OFI Crete FC. The midfielder joined Hyderabad FC on a one-year agreement ahead of the Hero ISL 2020-21 season and was one of their top performers in their fifth-place finish with 3 goals and 2 assists to his name. Joao is a perfect definition of a midfielder, possessing both attacking and defending skills along with clinical finishing. With one goal in the 2021-22 season, Joao will definitely be a powerhouse in the midfield who will be the perfect link between the defensive and offensive line-ups of Hyderabad FC .

Bartholomew Ogbeche

Bartholomew Ogbeche came to France to join PSG and at the age of 17, he made his first-team debut. After a couple of years in European clubs, Ogbeche joined NorthEast United FC prior to the 2018-19 Hero ISL season and instantly displayed his goal-scoring ability, scoring 12 goals in his first season in India and 15 goals with Kerala Blasters FC in the next season. Ogebeche joined Mumbai City FC ahead of the 2020-21 season to assist the team to win their first Hero ISL title with 8 goals and 3 assists. He now joined Hyderabad FC for the 2021-22 season and has already scored a goal in the team’s victory against his former club, Mumbai City FC. Ogbeche is a force to be reckoned with in the attacking third and can convert chances and through balls into goals for his team with his precise finishing, unreal pace and shot power. The Men of Steel defence will have to keep an eye out for Ogbeche at all times to avoid conceding goals from his end.
