Recently, the Gaffer along with the skipper, Peter Hartley, and Jordan Murray, joined the Indian Super League’s podcast, Let’s Football Live, which was hosted on Twitter spaces, thus allowing the fans to be a part of the live interaction as well.
As the conversation progressed, Jordan shared a secret that many fans have been curious about ever since his video of singing a Bollywood movie song surfaced on the club’s social media platforms. Fans were left amazed by Jordan’s talent and eagerly wanted to know the reason behind his fluency in Hindi. When asked, here’s what the Aussie had to say -
“It’s Peter Hartley. He actually teaches me Hindi songs. Obviously, being in quarantine for 2 weeks last year, I thought I would start learning a bit of Hindi as it could be a good way to connect and make friends which would also help me ease myself in the club pretty quickly. So, I learned a little bit of Hindi and learned a couple of Hindi songs as there are a lot of Bollywood films and songs to help with my Hindi in my free time. I picked it up pretty quickly, plus it was really fun to learn some Hindi from some of the players from my last season in Kerala Blasters FC.”
After completing their quarantine period in Goa, the Men of Steel have now begun their training in full swing and are gearing for a thrilling season of ISL.
