Five players who can be the difference at #KOLJAM

Jamshedpur FC are all set to play their first away fixture of the 2019-20 edition of the Indian Super League. Being unbeaten in all of their three home fixtures in the campaign so far, Coach Antonio’s men will look to extend their winning run. On the 9th of November, the teams will take the stage at the Vivekananda Yuba Bharati Krirangan (aka the Salt Lake Stadium), to lock horns and fight for the three points at stake.

Below are the names of five shining stars who could be the turning point for their respective sides.

Subrata Paul

Having a seasoned goalkeeper between the sticks has got to be a comforting point for not just our back force, but the rest of the playing XI as well. The tie against Bengaluru FC witnessed some world-class goalkeeping from the custodians on either end of the Furnace. A Hero of the Match performance from our ‘Indian Spiderman,’ Subrata Paul, had a packed JRD Tata Sports Complex witness nine extraordinary saves from the custodian and ensured an added point to our tally, keeping us spotless in our 2019-20 Indian Super League campaign. He was simply sensational for the home side, keeping out waves of attacks from the defending champions.

Francisco Medina Luna (Piti)

He’s fast, he’s sharp, and he’s got an eye to pick out spaces, and the Spanish midfield wizard has been nothing short of impactful for us in the middle of the park. Piti has been a silent investor in Jamshedpur FC’s success so far, someone who has always been involved backstage for the grand show the team has put up for the fans to watch. The 37-year-old will certainly want to capitalize on his efforts and convert his efforts to reflect on the score sheet in Kolkata. The midfielder should play an influential role when we face ATK in their home and fight for the three points to maintain the top place on the ISL points table.

David Williams

With an impressive 43% goal conversion rate, ATK’s Australian star man has already got three goals in just three matches to his name. Linking up, upfront with fellow former Wellington Phoenix player, Roy Krishna, the duo have caused mayhem for their opposition defenses. Williams will certainly be determined to add to his goal-scoring rampage and continue top form to make it difficult for Jamshedpur FC to take away three points on Saturday night.

Farukh Choudhary

Jamshedpur FC’s attack appears to be hammering the top gear with only three matches into ISL 2019-20. The team has scored a total of five goals in the three fixtures they have played in the campaign so far, out of which, two have come off the boots of Farukh Choudhary. After having a splendid bicycle kick attempt on goal against Bengaluru FC being saved by Gurpreet Singh Sandhu, Choudhary will be on the hunt for redemption in the form of finding the back of the net. With his current form, the 23-year-old will positively pose a threat to Antonio Habas’ men.

Edu Garcia

The Spanish forward has been nothing short of efficient for ATK. Scoring two goals in three appearances this season, Garcia has a jaw-dropping goal conversation rate of 67% this ISL season. The 29-year-old has been a regular on the score sheet for ATK and will not shy away from registering a goal or two to keep the team’s momentum up and running. Even though Jamshedpur FC will be traveling into this fixture with a psychological edge over the Kolkata-based ISL side, being unbeaten this ISL campaign so far, the Spaniard will be on a mission to change the spotless stat of the visiting side.
