Jamshedpur FC Goalkeeper Amrit Gope spoke to media ahead of the season opener against FC Goa in the Indian Super League. Here are the excerpts from the pre-match press conference:

On Preparations:

We’ve had a great pre-season. It’s a step-by-step process, and the team’s bonding has been strong. Our mindset is positive, and we aim to win.

On Last Year’s Performance:

We didn’t qualify last year, but we’re not feeling the pressure from that. We’re focused on taking things one step at a time and are concentrating solely on the next match.

On Team Bonding:

We have a great mix of senior and junior players. Living together has helped us bond better as a team.

On Khalid Jamil:

Since Khalid sir is Indian, local players like me can understand and learn more from him. It’s definitely an advantage for us to have him, as there’s no language barrier either.
