The Not So Secret Tale of Tattoos ft. TP Rehenesh

Our Superman Rehenesh is a man full of surprises. His fans know him as the disciplined man between the sticks, but one thing that no one anticipated was that he loves tattoos just as much as football.

In this exclusive conversation with our goalkeeper, Rehenesh, allows us to deep dive into the tattoos that he is the proud owner of along with the significance of each one and more.

Talk a little about the significance of each tattoo with us

I was 25 years old when I got my first tattoo. I guess it reminds me of my childhood.

Since I’m from the coastal area, and we used to play football a lot, the tattoo is like a representation of that; it’s set at the beach showing a small kid holding a ball in his hand and just enjoying the sunset.

I got my 2nd tattoo at the age of 28. It’s a flying eagle on my back. It represents power, dominance, freedom and focus and I believe that's pretty much close to my personality. Of course it also represents my position as a goalkeeper so that became another reason to go for this design.

Do you plan on getting more tattoos?

Absolutely! I haven’t decided anything yet but yes, whatever I go for, I want it to be something meaningful and related to me or my profession or my family.

Talk about the reactions of your friends and family when they saw your tattoo

Oh they had no idea so they were taken by surprise completely. But yes, they loved it. Of course my favourite memory is when the first question they asked me was “does it hurt?” 😂

Which one is your favourite out of the two?

My first tattoo because it’s a reminder of who I’m and how I became who I am. It’s like a good reminder of my roots at all times. 😊

Can you share the name of the tattoo artist? .

My first tattoo is by Ripz Basak (@ripztattoo) from Guwahati.

My second tattoo is by Kuldeep Krishna (@thedeepinktattooz) from Kochi.
