An unbeaten streak at the Athletic Stadium, Bambolim in the Hero ISL 2021-22 as well?

Bambolim's GMC Athletic Stadium is Goa's first integrated athletic complex, opened in 2014 which was built to match the IAAF criteria and standards. After the league was declared to be hosted by the state of Goa after the pandemic circumstances in the country, the stadium was picked as one of three stadiums to host the Indian Super League's 2020-21 season and the future years too. Though this venue is just one of the 3 stadiums used by the league to hold the scheduled games, this stadium actually holds great significance for Jamshedpur FC.

The Men of Steel are unbeaten in the Athletic Stadium in all the games that they have played in this location during Season 2020-21. The team had played 4 out of their 20 league stage fixtures in the Athletic stadium in the 2020-21 season and walked out undefeated in every game that they played.

The first game that the Men of Steel played in the venue was against the defending champions of the current season, Mumbai City FC, with a 1-1 draw after a thrilling game of attacking football. Despite being one man down, Jamshedpur managed to hold their ground and defended all the attempts from the hosts to take the advantage, and walked away with a point in hand. The next game that the Men of Steel played, was in the second half of the league stage, against Kerala Blasters FC which ended in a goalless draw, with both teams going at each other with everything they had to grab the winning points to move up the table and be in the competition for the play-offs, but the two sides failed to convert chances into goals, thus sharing the spoils and keeping Jamshedpur FC undefeated at the venue, once again.

3 days later, the Men of Steel travelled to the Athletic stadium for another away game against Odisha FC. With the need to win every remaining game of the league stage for them to qualify for the play-offs, Jamshedpur FC  took charge of the fixture and won the game with a slim lead of one goal, grabbing the 3 winning points, and keeping the dream of reaching the play-offs alive.

The Jamshedpur squad returned to the venue for their last fixture at the stadium to face Chennaiyin FC, whom they had faced in the 2020-21 season opener. The Men of Steel went on to win this duel between the two sides with another 1-0 victory and walked out undefeated, yet again at the Athletic Stadium, Bambolim, Goa. Maintaining an unbeaten record at the Athletic stadium, Bambolim, the Men of Steel will now be aiming to keep this streak unbroken when they face FC Goa at the same venue for their next fixture on the 26th of November, 2021.

The Jamshedpur squad will give their 100% to ensure that they keep the record intact while also looking to get their first victory of the season to move up the points table with winning points in their hands.
