Recognized as an influential powerhouse of an addition in the middle of the park, Jitendra Singh has now signed a new contract that extends his stay at Steel City till 2024.
Here’s what the Bengal lad had to say after penning the extension:
How do you feel about donning Jamshedpur FC’s Jersey once again after such a successful stint with the club?
Jitendra: I feel really happy to continue with Jamshedpur FC. I really love this club, the management, and the fans. I want to achieve more trophies with the club.
You have become an integral and trusted part of the midfield. How much of this trust mean to you?
Jitendra: It personally means a lot to me. I just need to keep my head down and keep working hard and growing. I know I can do even better than what I am doing now. I really want to thank God and my family for always supporting me throughout my journey.
What are your goals for the season ahead?
Jitendra: My goal is to get a call-up for the National team. To achieve that I need to play all the games and try to reach the playoffs with Jamshedpur FC again.
How excited are you to learn and grow under the new Gaffer Aidy Boothroyd?
Jitendra: Aidy is a coach who has developed top young players and I’m so excited to train under his guidance. I believe he will help me to take my game to the next level going forward.
Message for the fans ahead of the 2022-23 season.
Jitendra: I want to say that you guys are the 12th man on our team and finally after two years, we will be playing in front of you all. We missed you guys a lot and we hope you keep supporting us. As we will fight with everything we’ve got to retain our title and achieve more glory.
Under the new Gaffer, Aidy Boothroyd, Jitendra is ready to seize every opportunity that comes his way and register more action-packed plays down the middle of the park.
