“I think I made the right decision to move to Jamshedpur FC.” - Daniel Chima post #JFCKBFC

After scoring his 3rd goal in his 3rd game for Jamshedpur FC, the in-form forward talks about his thoughts on making the move to the club in the transfer window, the clean volleyed finish and being a part of the Men of Steel lead by Owen Coyle.

Here are the excerpts from the post-match interview -

On the decision of joining Jamshedpur FC being a good move…

With the way everything is going for me, I think I made the right decision of moving to Jamshedpur FC.

On the stunning half volley which led to the goal…

When I was running into the box, I thought if Boris goes deeper into the wing then the right thing for me to do will be to move a little bit to the right towards the near post and wait for the ball to come. Lucky for me, the pass came exactly where I wanted it to come and I finished it into the back of the net to score the 3rd goal for the team.

On the style of Jamshedpur FC being a perfect fit for your style of play…

I think it is because of the encouragement I have received ever since I have joined the club. The coaches guided me to make perfect runs in the box at particular times and they have been very supportive since the beginning which has been really helpful.

On the thoughts of playing under the guidance of Owen Coyle…

It is really great considering his records over the years and when I got the call with the opportunity to switch to Jamshedpur FC, I knew I had to seize this opportunity to train under Owen Coyle who was also a striker back in the day and I have a lot to learn from him which will help me in my career moving forward.
