Jamshedpur FC notched up a crucial victory against Mumbai City FC at the Mumbai Football Arena on Thursday. With these three points, Jamshedpur FC cruised into the top half of the Indian Super League (ISL) 2017-18 points table.
Subrata Paul picked up the Hero of the Match award after his incredible performance last night. His brilliance in between the sticks did not go unnoticed as our coach Steve Coppell heaped praises on the veteran. After a hard-earned victory against The Islanders, our shot-stopper Subrata Paul reflected on the win:
On giving one of his best performances against Mumbai City FC:
I did nothing extra as I just did my job. We defended as a team. All the players played extremely well, and we got those crucial three points.
On working with Steve Coppell:
It is my pleasure to work with him. I would want to tell him how happy I am to work under him. I have learnt a lot of things ever since I have joined the side and I would want to learn more right till the end of the season so that it helps me to perform well in future.
On playing for Mumbai City FC for two years and now featuring for Jamshedpur FC:
“Mumbai City FC is close to my heart. We achieved quite a lot in those two years I played for them. I have a good relationship with the management as well. But in professional life, you cannot look back. I must perform well for my present team and that is what I did today.
Jamshedpur FC will take on Northeast United FC at The Furnace on February 10 in their next game. In order to book tickets for the same, you all may log on to http://www.kyazoonga.com/sports/jamshedpurfc-isl-season-4/2372
