Jamshedpur FC Add Sarthak Golui, Vincy Barretto, and Calvin Rosario Baretto for Durand Cup Campaign

Jasmshedpur, July 14: Jamshedpur FC has strengthened its squad for the Durand Cup with the signing of three players, Sarthak Golui, Vinci Barretto, and Calvin Rosario Baretto, as the team gears up to play at home in the JRD Tata Sports Complex.

27-year-old Sarthak Golui is a seasoned defender from Kolkata who can slot in at centre-back or right-back. A product of the AIFF Elite Academy, Sarthak has turned out for Mohun Bagan, Pune City, Mumbai City FC, East Bengal, and Chennaiyin FC before playing last season with Inter Kashi in the I-League.

“I am really happy to be here. I am thankful to the coach and the management for the opportunity and trust they have showed in me. I am looking forward to take the field in Jamshedpur FC jersey and leave a mark. Johar Jamshedpur,” Sarthak said.

Joining him is 25-year-old Goan winger Vincy Barretto, who brings pace and direct attacking threat on both flanks. Vincy made his mark with FC Goa Reserves and was a key figure in Gokulam Kerala FC’s maiden I-League title in 2020–21. He went on to play for Kerala Blasters and Chennaiyin FC in the ISL.

“Joining Jamshedpur FC is a proud moment in my career. I’ve heard incredible things about the fans and the atmosphere at The Furnace, and I can't wait to experience it firsthand. I'm here to work hard, grow with the team, and contribute to something special,” Vinci said.

Calvin Rosario Baretto adds further depth on the left side of defence. A tough, physical player with I-League experience, Calvin began with Mumbai FC and featured for Gokulam Kerala FC, Aizawl FC, and Namdhari FC. He is a versatile player and have experience in playing in multiple positions.

“It’s an honour to join Coach Khalid’s Jamshedpur FC, whose vision and style of play has inspired me for a while now. I’m very grateful for this opportunity and ready to give my everything for the batch,” Calvin said.

Head coach Khalid Jamil welcomed the trio and stressed the importance of evaluating them closely during the Durand Cup.

“These signings give us more depth and flexibility across positions. We’ll be keenly watching their performances in the Durand Cup as they integrate with the squad and show what they can bring to the team,” Khalid said.

The Durand Cup will see Jamshedpur FC play all their group stage matches at home, with the first game scheduled for 24 July against Tribhuvan Army FT, then Indian Army FT on 29 July, and 1Ladakh FC on 8 August
