“It was a very tough result for us. We’ll sit together, analyze the match, review the footage, and identify where we went wrong. We’re focused on fixing those issues on the training pitch so we’re ready for the next game,” he stressed.

Jamshedpur FC played with ten men for most of the match after defender Stephen Eze received a red card in the 29th minute. Gomes acknowledged the challenge this created, saying, “Losing Eze so early was tough. NorthEast United seized the opportunity and made us pay for it.”

Despite the setback, Gomes encouraged fans to stay supportive. “We need your support more than ever. We’d love to see fans in large numbers at the stadium, backing us up as we push to get back on track,” he said.

Gomes also addressed the challenges of away matches, noting that although Jamshedpur FC had an impressive start with a win over Goa, recent away games in NorthEast and Odisha have been challenging. “We approach every match with the same focus, whether it’s home or away. It just wasn’t our day in the last two away games, but we’ll work hard to get better results in upcoming matches.”

“Right now, we’re recovering, and as professionals, we know how to handle defeat. We’ll work on our mistakes and give our best to win the next match,” he concluded.

Jamshedpur FC will now turn their attention to their upcoming home fixture against Chennaiyin FC on November 4th.
