Jamshedpur FC is in second place with 12 points from five matches while NorthEast United FC are in the 10th position with five points in as many as matches.

Head Coach Khalid Jamil emphasized the need for discipline and focus, despite their strong start to the season. “We’ve had a fantastic season so far, and the players are doing a great job. But tomorrow’s match is a critical one. We need to stay composed and deliver a positive result. NorthEast United is a very good team; they have skilled foreign players and Indian players, along with an experienced coach. We can’t afford to take them lightly,” he said.

Jamshedpur FC’s success this season has largely been attributed to a cohesive team game. The team has enjoyed a remarkable beginning to their ISL 2024-25 campaign, currently sitting on 12 points, scoring 10 goals, and securing 4 wins after five games, marking the club’s best-ever start in the league.

However Jamil sees areas for improvement, especially as the team faces the added pressure of their winning streak. “We need to control the game from the first minute to the final whistle, stay focused, and avoid simple mistakes. Other teams know we’re performing well, so we have to be even more prepared and keep challenging ourselves.”

For NorthEast United, the match represents an opportunity to climb the standings. With five points from five matches, they’ll look to use home advantage to challenge Jamshedpur’s defense and disrupt their momentum. The Highlanders have talented foreign players and promising Indian talents, and Jamil has cautioned his players about the opposition’s unpredictability and resilience.

Fans can watch the match live on JioCinema and Sports 18 News Channel at 5 PM onward on Saturday.
