Jamshedpur FC draw 2-2 with NorthEast United FC in pre-season friendly at Flatlets

Jamshedpur FC and NorthEast United FC played out an entertaining 2-2 draw at Flatlets Training Ground in their latest encounter against each other.

JFC gave a chance to other players in their squad just a couple of days after they beat the Highlanders on Friday at Flatlets, and the decision paid off immediately.

The likes of Len Doungel and Rei Tachikawa looked lively from the beginning, and midway through the first half the home side took the lead after a ferocious effort from Len proved too hot to handle for the goalkeeper.

NorthEast soon equalised however, and the game finished 1-1 at half-time. The second half brought with it renewed spirit and more entertainment as two more goals were scored before the game came to a close.

For Jamshedpur FC, it was Thongkosiem Haokip who scored once again, following his goal on Friday, but the visitors scored another goal themselves to ensure the game ended in an entertaining draw.

NorthEast United’s goals were scored by Bekey Oram and Manvir Singh, but Jamshedpur will be pleased with two successful run-outs in just three days with the ISL season set to begin on September 25 with a trip to Kolkata to battle against East Bengal.
