Here’s a detailed report of tonight’s game.

Jamshedpur FC Starting XI:

Subrata Paul

Narender

Tiri

Memo

Robin

Aitor

Jitendra

Passi

Aniket

Sergio Castel

C K Vineeth

The game kicked-off off with East Bengal dominating most of the possession. In-form striker, Aniket wasn't afraid of taking shots. He didn't hold back at any cost and kept a steady pace on the wing.

Plenty of free kicks favoured East Bengal F.C tonight in the first half.  C.K.Vineeth almost had his moment on the pitch, however lack of support compelled him to pass the ball back to Tiri.

While the players made short passes all around the pitch to secure possession for the home side with an attack build-up on the right wing, Bikash Jairu's shot was denied by the defender, diverting his shot for a goal kick.

For a friendly match, things surely heated up in the middle of the pitch when Jamshedpur F.C. went for a long ball but was calmly collected by the East Bengal F.C. keeper.

Once again Jairu went for the kill but the East Bengal F.C. keeper collected the cross. The team was trying to keep up and was trying to break the deadlock with a free kick from Tiri. Unfortunately, it flew straight into the hands of the goalkeeper, thus marking the end of the first half with both teams scoring level on 0-0.

The second half began with Jamshedpur FC making six changes bringing Isaac, Bikash, Karan, Rafique, Joyner and Mobashir in and replacing Robin, Aitor, Tiri, Jitendra, Aniket and Subrata. Jamshedpur FC had good spells of possession in the beginning of the half with Vineeth and Castel turning on the magic with some sleek passing. Jamshedpur FC had a barrage of shots defended in the East Bengal FC half shortly after, with Aniket and Castel having their shots blocked and cleared off.

Just when Jamshedpur FC seemed to be in control of the game, East Bengal FC scored against the run of play. Substitute, Abhijit Sarkar scored for East Bengal with a shot to the bottom left corner at the 70th minute. Jamshedpur FC Reserve team players, Aakash Dave and Ravi Rana were brought in as well. Aakash was shortly involved in a sharp link-up play with Aniket up front but, sadly the keeper got to it in time. Jamshedpur FC won a free kick when Isaac was fouled just outside the box. East Bengal FC recovered the ball nicely, delivered a cross inside from the right wing and Jaime Santos Colado headed it in with ease to send them two goals up at the 88th minute. The match ended with East Bengal FC winning the friendly contest 0-2.
