Jamshedpur FC held to 0-0 draw by ATK Mohun Bagan

Jamshedpur FC finished their season at home with an entertaining 0-0 draw against ATK Mohun Bagan at the Furnace.

Jitendra Singh returned to the Jamshedpur FC starting lineup after a long layoff in place of Pronay Halder for this one and worked the ball around midfield well in the opening exchanges.

Jitu fashioned Jamshedpur’s first real chance of the match in the 29th minute, but his shot was easily saved by Vishal Kaith.

The first-half hero for the Men of Steel, however, was TP Rehenesh as he made some outstanding saves to keep the score 0-0.

Boris Singh had the best chance of the half just before the break as he was played in by substitute Harry Sawyer, but with the goal gaping, he somehow missed the target.

The second half saw Jay Emmanuel-Thomas get into the game more, and he managed two efforts on goal that caused the Mariners all sorts of problems.

Pratik Chaudhari had a golden opportunity to break the deadlock in the 81st minute after a JET free-kick fell to him in the box, but his shot was saved on the line, much to the dismay of the home support.

Daniel Chima Chukwu nearly won it for JFC in the 89th minute as he found himself one on one with keeper Kaith, but his effort was saved magnificently by the goalkeeper, somehow reaching the ball with his feet.

The game ended 0-0 but was a spectacle to say the least, and ends the home campaign for the Men of Steel in front of their fans at the Furnace.
