Jamshedpur FC is all set to participate in the 132nd edition of the Durand Cup. The tournament will be played between August 3 and September 3, and will be organised by the Indian Army on behalf of the Indian Armed Forces.
The Durand Cup will be a 24-team competition divided into six groups. Jamshedpur FC will participate as one of 12 Indian Super League (ISL) clubs, 6 I-League teams, 1 regional team, 3 Indian Army Air Forces & Indian Navy teams and 2 international teams of Nepal and Bangladesh Army, making this the first time in 27 years to host International teams. Jamshedpur will compete in Group B with Mumbai City FC, Mohammedan Sporting & Indian Navy. The venue for Group B is Kolkata and the matches will be distributed between the Vivekananda Yuba Bharati Krirangan and Mohun Bagan Ground.
The team will play under the guidance of Steven Dias, the Head Coach for this tournament. He said," We are looking forward to the Durand Cup. It's going to be a good experience for the young lads.
The whole squad is excited to play with the best teams in the country and with every competitive minute they gain, it provides a great opportunity for them to learn and grow. We will give our best to win against all the teams in our group."
Jamshedpur FC CEO Mukul Choudhari added, " We are honored to kick off the season with one of the oldest club competitions in the Durand Cup.
This season is going to be special with the addition of teams from Bangladesh and Nepal. This will serve as a good opportunity for our young talent to shine and measure their development among the national and international teams."
The matches will be telecast live on the Sony Sports Network and online platform Sony LIV. Jamshedpur FC's first match will be against Mumbai City FC on August 8 at Yuba Bharati Krirangan, Kolkata.

17th August 2023: Jamshedpur FC Vs Indian Navy (Mohun Bagan Ground, 3pm)
20th August 2023: Mohammedan SC Vs Jamshedpur FC (Yuba Bharati Krirangan, 4:45pm)
