Jamshedpur FC looks to extend unbeaten run

Sameehg Doutie, Trindade Goncalves and Ashim Biswas were on target as the lads completed an incredible comeback against Bangkok United to continue our winning pre-season run.

Steve Coppell was pleased with the team’s display against a very strong opposition. However, he feels there’s room for improvement, “It was a solid performance, we’ve still got a lot to work on.”

The gaffer stressed on the importance of fitness explaining the reason behind a packed pre-season schedule, “This is part of a three-day experiment. We’ve got a game on Wednesday, deliberately we’ve kept it close together so that everyone within the squad is tested. It’s the recovery aspect again when we play in India, we’ll be playing some games with a quick turnaround before the next game. So, there’s a lot of things that are important if we can physically cope with these games.”

Next up on our pre-season agenda are Pattaya United. They are currently placed 8th in the latest Thai League (T1) standings. Jamshedpur FC are up against a formidable opponent who play a counter-attacking brand of football.

Jamshedpur FC have enjoyed a decent goal-scoring spree in pre-season, having found the net six times in 3 games. Kervens Belfort played a crucial role in the last game and is looking forward to getting off the mark, “I feel good as I played my first game for Jamshedpur FC. I want to do better in the upcoming matches.”

Another tricky test awaits Jamshedpur FC, as we look to maintain our unbeaten pre-season record in Thailand.
