Jamshedpur FC players recharge with family vacations after Durand Cup campaign

Jamshedpur, September 11: Before the gruelling season ahead, the players enjoyed a good break with their families as they were given time off after the Durand Cup, where Jamshedpur FC reached the quarterfinals.

The squad made the most of the opportunity, travelling home and spending quality time with their loved ones while recharging themselves for the challenges to come.

Midfielder Pronay Halder spent quality time with his family in Kolkata and also visited his father’s village in West Bengal. Pronay said, “Last year was very special for me with the arrival of my child, and this vacation gave me the time to be with my family and enjoy those moments with them. It was refreshing and much needed before the season.”

Fellow player from Kerala, Sreekuttan returned to his hometown in Thrissur to celebrate Onam with his family. “Because of the football calendar, I have missed being home for Onam many times. This year it was different and I felt so good to celebrate with my family and soak in the festival atmosphere,” he said.

Goalkeeper Amrit Gope visited Digha in West Bengal and also made a trip to the Jagannath Temple. Meanwhile, Nikhil Barla spent time with his family in Ranchi. Praful Kumar also travelled to Mysore with his family. Kartik Kumar enjoyed his vacation in Kolkata, and Lalhriatpuia headed home to Mizoram, where he spent his time with family.

The break proved to be a rejuvenating experience for the entire squad. Each player returned refreshed and in high spirits, ready to get back to the training ground.
