Jamshedpur, November 16: Jamshedpur FC’s reserve team players visited the ongoing IFSC Youth Asian Sport Climbing Championships 2024 at the JRD Tata Sports Complex on Friday.
After a hectic training week in which they played two friendly matches, it was day off for the reserve team and the players had decided to visit and watch the sports climbing championship.
Most of them were awed by the sports. They watch the Lead category in Sports Climbing Championship in which the climbers ascend as high as they can on a 15 m wall in six minutes.
They watched Japanese, Thailand, Indian and Korean climbers vying during the 45-minute visit.
"I am watching the sport live for the first time. We are all got interested after seeing the athleticism and the way the event proceeded. These athletes are remarkable and very agile,” said Alvies Bastin.
The IFSC Youth Asian Sport Climbing Championships, being hosted at the state-of-the-art climbing arena in Jamshedpur, commenced on November 13 and will conclude on November 17. The prestigious event has drawn teams from across Asia.
