Mumbai, April 9: Jamshedpur FC Reserves are set to face Mohun Bagan Super Giant Reserves in the semifinal of the Reliance Foundation Development League (RFDL) 2024-25 at the Reliance Corporate Park, Navi Mumbai on April 10 at 8 AM. The much-anticipated clash brings together two of India’s most exciting youth setups, with a place in the National Championship final on the line.
Jamshedpur FC booked their place in the semifinals after finishing at the top of Group A with 10 points from five matches. Under the guidance of head coach Kaizad Ambapardiwalla, the team displayed an impressive blend of attacking flair and tactical discipline, recording dominant wins over East Bengal FC, Kickstart FC, and NorthEast United FC.
Mohun Bagan SG, who finished second in Group B, have also enjoyed a strong campaign and will be a formidable challenge for the young Red Miners. With attacking talents on both sides, fans can expect a high-tempo encounter as both teams aim to take one step closer to the national title.
Speaking ahead of the semifinal, head coach Kaizad Ambapardiwalla said, “Mohun Bagan are a quality team with good depth and experience. It’s going to be a high-intensity game, and we’ll need to be at our best tactically and mentally. We respect them, but we’re focused on our strengths.”
He also highlighted the growth and maturity of the young squad over the course of the campaign: “Every single one of our players has shown hunger, maturity, and the will to fight. Matches like these are what we train for. We want to enjoy the moment, play with courage, and make everyone at Jamshedpur FC proud.”
Jamshedpur FC’s attacking trio of Lawmsangzuala, Bivan Jyoti Laskar, and Remson Singh has been among the standout performers in the tournament, and their form will be key as the team eyes a place in the final.
