Jamshedpur, October 11: Jamshedpur FC have strengthened their attacking ranks with the signing of winger Rosenberg Gabriel from I-League side Sreenidi Deccan FC for the upcoming 2025–26 season. The 26-year-old wide attacker joins the Men of Steel after two impressive seasons in the I-League, where he established himself as one of the most creative and consistent performers in the competition.
Gabriel’s arrival provides Head Coach Steven Dias with additional attacking options and flexibility on both flanks. Known for his electric pace, direct dribbling, and accurate deliveries into the box, the Mumbai-born winger has made 61 league appearances, contributing 8 goals and 8 assists during his time with Sreenidi Deccan.
Having honed his skills in Mumbai’s local football circuit with Mumbai Customs and Air India in the MFA Elite Division, Gabriel earned a place at Sreenidi Deccan FC through open trials in 2021. He quickly rose through the ranks, making his mark in the club’s debut I-League season with 11 appearances. The following year, he became one of the league’s leading assist providers in 2022–23, a season that showcased his creativity and work rate.
A versatile wide player, Gabriel can operate effectively on either flank. Speaking about joining Jamshedpur FC, Rosenberg Gabriel said, “This is a huge step in my career, and I’m very excited to wear the Jamshedpur FC colours. The club has a great culture, passionate fans, and a clear vision for developing young players. I want to contribute with my pace, creativity, and hard work to help the team achieve success this season.”
Head Coach Steven Dias welcomed the addition, saying, “Rosenberg is an energetic and fearless winger who can change the tempo of the game with his speed and direct approach. He gives us more attacking depth and the flexibility to play in different systems. I’m looking forward to working with him and seeing how he develops with the team.”
The Men of Steel will open their campaign against FC Goa on October 26, followed by matches against North East United FC on October 29 and Inter Kashi on November 1 in the Group B fixtures to be played at Goa
