Jamshedpur, October 18: Jamshedpur FC have confirmed the signing of Serbian midfielder/attacker Nikola Stojanovic, marking their sixth foreign addition ahead of the upcoming Super Cup. The 30-year-old joins the Men of Steel after a stellar spell with Inter Kashi, where he was recognized as the team’s midfield and attacking leader, often delivering match‑deciding set-pieces in the 2025 season. He concluded his stint as the team’s top performer, guiding them to the I-League title.
Before joining Inter Kashi, Stojanović’s senior career included stints at Ergotelis, Sinđelić Beograd, OFK Beograd, Sloboda Užice, Minsk, Sparta, Bačka, Dečić, and Petrovac. In India, he made 30 league appearances with 5 goals for Mohammedan SC (2021–23) and contributed in domestic cup competitions. At Gokulam Kerala in 2023–24, he featured in 8 league matches and scored 4 goals before moving to Inter Kashi.
A possession-friendly attacking midfielder, Stojanović operates between the lines, combining ball-secure link play with direct end-product from set-pieces and late box entries. He typically functions as an advanced midfielder or second striker, dropping into half-spaces to receive on the half-turn, threading passes, combining in tight triangles, and arriving late in the box to finish scoring opportunities.
He is also a dangerous set-piece specialist, known for whipping free-kicks from 18–25 yards with dip and precision, as well as delivering outswinging corners and aggressive near-post balls that create second-ball chances.
Welcoming him to the squad, head coach Steven Dias said, “Nikola is a proven winner and a creative force in midfield. His vision and leadership make him a perfect fit for our system. He adds quality in attack and the kind of experience that can help us push for trophies.”
Expressing his excitement, Nikola Stojanović said, “I’m thrilled to finally join Jamshedpur FC. The club has strong ambitions, passionate fans, and a clear vision under Coach Steven Dias. I aim to create, score, and help the team win silverware. I look forward to bringing my experience and style to this squad.”
Stojanović completes Jamshedpur FC’s six-foreigner quota for the season, joining Rei Tachikawa, Stephen Eze, Messi Bouli, Lazar CirkoviC, and Madih Talal. With his combination of creativity, tactical intelligence, and set-piece threat, he strengthens the JFC's ambitions of turning last season’s Super Cup runners-up finish into silverware.
