Jamshedpur, July 12: Jamshedpur FC’s Durand Cup preparations are officially underway with the arrival of the first batch of players in the city on Saturday. The squad checked in at Flatlet and is all set to begin training from Sunday onwards at Flatelet ground under head coach Khalid Jamil.
Albino Gomes, Amrit Gope, Ayush Jena, Pratik Chaudhari, Pronay Halder, Kartik Choudhary, Sourav Das, Mobashir Rahman, Puia, Sreekuttan, Nikhil Barla, Mohammed Sanan, and Ritwik Das are part of the group that reaches today. For all of them, it’s a return to familiar ground and a chance to reset, regroup, and build rhythm ahead of the upcoming league season.
This marks the team’s first full camp together since last season’s Super Cup. The staff will use the coming days to build match fitness, sharpen tactics, and test combinations ahead of their opening Durand Cup clash.
Jamshedpur FC will face Tribhuvan Army FT on 24 July, Indian Army FT on 29 July, and Ladakh FC on 8 August—all at home in front of local fans eager for competitive football to return. With a strong group of senior players and promising youngsters reporting for camp, the club is focused on making the most of this pre-season test.
