Jamshedpur FC suffer defeat against Mohun Bagan SG

Kolkata, November 23: Jamshedpur FC suffered a 3-0 defeat to Mohun Bagan Super Giant at the Vivekananda Yuba Bharati Krirangan in Kolkata. The Men of Steel were undone by goals from Tom Aldred, Liston Colaco, and Jamie Maclaren.

The match began cautiously, with Jamshedpur FC’s defense holding firm in the early exchanges. However, the deadlock was broken in the 15th minute when Mohun Bagan’s Tom Aldred capitalized on a rebound from a corner, finding the net after a scramble in the box. Albino Gomes producing key saves to keep Jamshedpur in the contest.

Jamshedpur FC showcased moments of attacking promise, with Javi Hernandez coming closest to scoring. He connected with a precise cross from Uvais, but his header narrowly missed the target, grazing past the post.

Just before halftime, Liston Colaco doubled the lead for Mohun Bagan, weaving through a cluster of defenders to unleash a powerful strike past Gomes.

The second half saw Jamshedpur FC attempting to claw their way back into the game. However, Mohun Bagan extended their advantage in the 75th minute when Deepak Tangri's delivery set up Manvir Singh, who laid it off for Jamie Maclaren to score the Mariners' third goal.

Jamshedpur FC will now look to regroup quickly as they face Mohammedan SC at their home on December 2.
