Guwahati, May 2: Jamshedpur FC U-17 will kick off their Final Round campaign in the AIFF U-17 Elite Youth League against Manipur-based Classic Football Academy on May 3 at 8:30 AM. The match marks the beginning of Group D fixtures in the national championship stage.
After emerging as Group D winners in the playoff round, the Young Men of Steel carry strong momentum into the final phase of the tournament. JFC secured four points from two matches in the playoffs—including a 4-0 win over Mumbai City FC and a 2-2 draw against Football 4 Change—and advanced on superior goal difference.
Their opponents, Classic FA, come into the Final Round with a strong reputation, having consistently performed at youth levels and known for their pace and intensity. The match is expected to be a high-tempo contest between two well-drilled teams.
Speaking ahead of the game, JFC U-17 head coach Kaizad Ambapardiwalla said, “We know every match here will be tough, and Classic FA are a quality side. But our boys have trained with discipline and hunger, and we are ready to give it our best.”
Group D also includes Corbett FC and Muthoot Football Academy. Only the top teams will advance to the knockout rounds, making every match crucial in this tightly-contested group.
