Patna, December 27: Jamshedpur FC U-18 will play their second away fixture of the Elite Youth League when they face Alpha Sports Academy on 28 December, aiming to extend their unbeaten start to the season.
After three matches, Jamshedpur FC sit third in the standings with seven points, having registered two wins and a draw. The young Men of Steel have shown consistency at both ends of the pitch, scoring nine goals while conceding just twice, and will look to carry that momentum into another challenging away encounter.
Alpha Sports Academy currently occupy sixth position with three points from three matches. Their campaign began with a strong 4–1 home win over YAFC, before suffering a 4–1 defeat away to Inter Kashi. Alpha returned to winning ways in their most recent outing, edging past RKM Football Academy 1–0 at home, showing their ability to stay competitive and grind out results.
For Jamshedpur, the match presents another test of maturity on the road, following their spirited 2–2 draw against Inter Kashi earlier in the tournament. Head coach Kaizad Ambapardiwalla believes the focus remains firmly on performance rather than the league table.
“We’ve had a steady start, but every away match in this league is a different challenge,” Kaizad said. “Alpha have shown they can score goals and also defend when needed, so we have to be disciplined, patient, and stick to our style of play.”
Kaizad also stressed the importance of maintaining consistency as the tournament progresses. “The boys are learning with every game. What matters is how we respond in different situations and keep improving as a group.”
With the league table still taking shape and teams closely packed behind the leaders, Jamshedpur FC will be keen to build on their strong opening phase and return with a positive result from their second away assignment of the season.
